Reviewer Responsibilities

As a reviewer, you play a crucial role in the publication process. Your responsibilities include:

✓ Constructive Feedback: Offer specific suggestions for improving the manuscript. Highlight strengths and identify areas that require further development or clarification.

✓ Confidentiality: Treat all manuscripts and associated data as confidential. Do not share any part of the manuscript or discuss it with anyone outside the editorial team.

Review Process

Initial Review

Upon receiving a manuscript, you will be asked to:

          Inspect Icon Assess Suitability: Determine if the manuscript fits within the scope of Nordic Open Research.

 

          Inspect Icon Evaluate Quality: Provide an initial assessment of the manuscript’s quality and potential impact.

 

Detailed Review

If the manuscript is deemed suitable for further consideration:

1. Provide Detailed Feedback: Write a comprehensive review, addressing the following aspects:

  • Scientific Rigor: Evaluate the methodology, data analysis, and validity of the conclusions.
  • Originality and Contribution: Assess the novelty and significance of the research.
  • Clarity and Organization: Comment on the structure and readability of the manuscript.
  • Figures and Tables: Review the quality and relevance of any visual materials.

2. Recommendations: Make a clear recommendation for the manuscript:

Revision Process

If revisions are requested:
